Jour et Nuit Culture is an association, artist managed, situated in the local premises of St Michel, 6th arrondissement and supports you in your creative projects by providing different workspaces at your disposition according your projects and needs :

Temporary residence for workshop
Since the beginning of 2014 In partnership with the City hall of Paris and with more than 3000 supporters, the association Jour et Nuit Culture offers temporarily workshops in the heart of Paris, at the reknowned Place Saint Michel, in order to support the creation of artistic projects. We propose private and shared workspace to artists in the purpose to prepare the next exhibition in our place. A dozen of workshops are temporary available (1-4months) and they are mostly all furnished with a watering place, on 6 floors of a typical Parisian building.
The association is open to all aspects of visual arts : Painting, Sculpting, Videography, Illustration, and more….
Location characteristics :
Six floors of workplaces (no elevator) - Internet connection available - restrooms and showers - flexible work hours -No -one site accomodation.
Exhibition in the gallery
In the order to support and encourage artistic creation and visibility the association has available a gallery room to exhibit your works. A priority access is given to our residents to have an exhibition there but it's also open for others artists. The association is receptive to all aspects of visual arts : painting, sculpting, videography, illustration and more... This space is also made to receive any kind of event (reading, performance, show, concert). We like to encourage and show both new young contemporain artists and famous ones.

Dance Studio rent
The association Jour et Nuit Culture has also at your disposal a dance studio, for group activities with a corporal sense. It has the particularity to also be the work space of artists of the association Jour et Nuit Culture. You can rent the dance studio for danse, theatre, yoga, creative lessons.
Studio characteristics :
30 m² of space, on the 5th floor (no elevator) - parquet floor - mirrors - wifi available - restroom on the 2nd floor and shower on the 3rd floor

Duration : 1 - 4 months

Conditions of application :
Addressed to all artists, without limit of age or nationality.
The artists in residence must participate with the association and its projects.It is important that the artists be familiarized with the association’s projects via our website. Artists are bound by an agreement set forth at the start and must comply with the amount of the monthly fee :

180€/month for shared space,
-
280€/month for individual workplace of 15-25m² of space.
To understand the challenges of volunteer work it must be collectively done by its members. As the association works through the investment of each member, we ask the candidate to reflect on its possible contribution to community life (maintenance of local participation, any useful skills ) of 4h to 8h / per month.
